VIDUR AW14

Written by Lewis Cameron

Tues. 7. Jan. 14.

If there's one thing we love here at Beyond Man, it is emerging design talent and when it comes to said emerging design talent, it doesn't get much better than the super clean and super contemporary Vidur.

Showcasing their latest designs in the form of their silhouette and shape infused AW14 collection in the Emerging Designer showroom at London Collections: Men, I experienced first hand how slick and stylish these unique designs truly are. Incorporating a colour palette inspired by the old Penguin book covers featuring a teal green as the dominant shade, the collection is simplistic and minimal with a modern, futuristic edge.

Vidur’s Autumn/Winter 2014 collection maintains the label’s ethos of creating garments that are elemental,
functional and enduring. Disciplined shapes are executed in vivid block colour; the restrained, contemporary and understated aesthetic is reinforced through invisible finishing.

VIDUR'S DESIGN PHILOSOPHY IS TO CREATE GARMENTS THAT ARE ELEMENTAL, FUNCTIONAL AND ENDUIRNG.

INFLUENCED BY THE SIMPLISTIC, FUNDAMENTAL NATURE OF NORDIC DESIGN AND ITS EMPHASIS ON THE DURABILITY AND AUTHENTICITY OF NATURAL MATERIALS, VIDUR ALWAYS WORK TOWARDS THE SAME AESTHETIC IDEALS: A FOCUS ON FORM, FABRIC AND WORKMANSHIP IN ORDER TO CREATE TIMELESS BUT COMTEMPORARY GARMENTS.
