Friday. 11. Jan.

After a week of discovering new and vibrant colours, innovative and up and coming prints and patterns courtesy of London Collections: Men, Topman LTD have unveiled their latest offering. Entitled ‘Union Blues’ bringing men’s workwear back with a modern twist.

A trend described as Union Blues naturally features the involvement of a variety of blue shades coming together in a successful manner of oceanic proportions. And by oceanic proportions, I mean fish.

I never thought I’d see the day I would actively wear a fish but Topman LTD’s UB trend has introduced me to a rather exciting new print. The KOI Carp and Fish patterned sweatshirt, classic shirt and oversized tee.

Fish prints aren’t the only heavily adopted patterns with ethnic designs incorporated in a wallpaper format in blue and red crew neck and grandad collar tees. Both of which are influenced by Japanese square-cut t-shirts washed over with an array of blues.

Washed being the operative word here as dip dyed denim, distressed cardigans and sweatshirts are a prominent highlight throughout with a relaxed casual vibe apparent in both design and cut.  A blue knit look sweatshirt, a cobalt cross printed bomber jacket and a navy printed skinny suit landing in my top three. Followed swiftly by a stone cropped Harrington jacket which literally screams retro Ivy League Utilitarian.

The Topman LTD ‘Union Blues’ range is now available to browse and purchase online via www.topman.com.
