Style Icon: Will I Am

Everyone’s talking about new UK Voice judges Kylie Minogue and Kaiser Chiefs’ Ricky Wilson, but personally I’m team Will. Why? Because the often too weird to understand pop/RnB maestro has upped his game on the style front this season and I for one am rather impressed.
Will I Am is a man of many talents. He can mould music in his very hands, he can dance alongside a holographic Justin Bieber and he can make Britney Spears English/German. Alongside these very useful and highly sought after qualities, he can also dress like a futuristic God with the ability to change his appearance on demand. I say this as Will I Am’s individual style is rather absurd, slightly explosive and generally a tad bit mental. No one look is ever the same for the BEP frontman, turning menswear on its axis taking bits and bobs from various areas such as punk, utilitarian, catwalk, streetwear and sartorial suiting and combining them in whatever way he sees fit.
He’s a huge fan of the world of monochrome and metallics and all things bomber jacket related, he also however never shies away from the use of a splash of statement colour. He is the very definition of the word trend setter, wearing what he likes, when he likes and he utilises his quirky and humorous personality through every single piece of clothing he drapes upon his quirky form. He is what it says on the tin. Will I Am dresses for himself, to have fun, to experiment and to freely and boldly go where most men will never dander.
Editor’s Note: For several years now I have believed that Will I Am was replaced by Sky Net sometime around 2007 sending a Terminator in his place. I can’t confirm this but I can say that having followed his style evolution with an ever watchful eye, I can say I do not fear for the survival of human race or Judgement Day. Will I Am is simply a cool and quirky guy who backs it up with an energetic and enthusiastic wardrobe filled with confidence and an adventurous edge.
