Fresh from a scorching summer assist on Mariah Carey’s latest RnB ballad #Beautiful, shooting high fashion editorials for the likes of Mr Porter and Paper Magazine, and attending a variety of red carpet events in creative and colourful attire, singer Miguel has catapulted his way to the top of our style icons list for 2013.

 

RnB soul figure Miguel is a modern man at heart, an explorative and experimental gent with clear vision in both his own sound and his own individual style. Incorporating contemporary and individualistic art influences,  Miguel is fond of mixing trend savvy sophistication with a hint of urban edge and quirky statements.

 

Ridiculously enthusiastic about anything involving a biker jacket, a colour blocked suit, or statement printed shirts, his slick and soulful blend of the casual and the formal is instantly envious. Sitting front row at New York Fashion Week, rocking the Grammys, and strutting his stuff head-to-toe in Saint Laurent in the odd music video, genuinely leaves only one conclusion. Miguel is most definitely ‘une icone de style’.
